I didn't have a dad to lead me to the game. I found it for myself. On the radio. After school. Up in my room, I followed the voices. Not knowing too much about the teams or the rules. I just picked it all up over time. From the stories, the games, the wins and the losses.
Hank Greenberg was the hero.
Today, I'm going to put on my Tigers cap. Just to remember that magical time.
Then, I'll spend the season rooting for my lowly White Sox. I can't help it. I'm a fan.
